Pemberton YHA matches backpackers with work available at any one of a dozen local farms.

When one job finishes, the hostel help set you up with another one, to ensure that you are able to complete your three months’ seasonal work requirement to get the visa extension.

The hostel sources work proactively from local employers as well as a local job agency.

Work is primarily agricultural and includes vineyards and avocado farms.

Getting to Work in Pemberton

The hostel can also transport guests to the bigger farms, although some farmers will pick their staff up from the hostel and yet other backpackers have their own cars.
