Great place to spend a few days or more and chat with other travellers.

Staff were friendly and as helpful as they could be. This place is generally run down, dirty, smells of mould in some areas and many little things are broken. Ducted air conditioning system is very noisy, runs all night and cannot be adjusted. Location is very convenient to CBD though there is ongoing vandalism in the area at night and this place has no official dedicated off street car parking. I don't know if the other hostels in the area are any better but I would suggest you look elsewhere.

I stayed for 3 nights and they checked me for 1 night. When I was back from the tours at 12:30am, my card to get in the hostel didn't work, so I was stacked outside. I tried to call them or another way to contact, but not successful, absolutely disappointed once is not safe to stay outside at night. There was no sheets, the lights in the room didn't work and one shower I used barely worked. Honestly, I don't recommend. However the staffs and atmosphere were friendly.

Highly rate the staff, very helpful and friendly..rooms and bathrooms were super clean..the hostel had good amenities overall too!

It was a good location and the staff were lovely. Reception is only open a few hours a day. The place needs more regular cleaning or renovations. Nothing in the laundry worked and the lights in my room didn’t work and no working internet so I went to the local library if I needed to download something. I would only stay here the night before or after a tour. I was fortunate to have my own room. I guess due to few backpackers around.

Kitchen etiquette was mostly good with a few exceptions. Staff are efficient, kind and “on the ball”. The premises I stayed in are heritage listed and very adequate. Garden grounds and pool beautifully maintained. There’s a warm and generous spirit in this place. Thanks everyone

Overall experience was not bad, but need improvements in cleaning.I will share with my friend as it is convenient and cheap place. Second I need tax invoice which I did not receive by reception. Please send me via email as I need it. Thank you

We review these ratings daily, and publish any comments whether they are good or bad. However, there are a few instances where we will not publish comments online:

INAPPROPRIATE OR OFFENSIVE COMMENTS

We will not publish inappropriate and/or offensive comments.

Inappropriate or offensive comments include, but are not limited to, personal harassment or discrediting of YHA staff, hate speech, sexually explicit language, swearing or references to illicit drug usage.

UNSUBSTANTIATED OR INCORRECT CLAIMS

We will not publish any comments that are not directly related to the hostel, or your experience during your stay.

Hostels will have the right to have negative comments removed if they can prove that claims are unsubstantiated, incorrect or you did not stay at the hostel that you are commenting on.

COMMENTS INCLUDING STAFF NAMES

We will not publish comments that include full staff names, irrespective of whether your comment is positive or negative.
